Why tempo beats power in mobile strategy
Mobile strategy games often trick you into thinking the goal is the biggest army or the strongest tower. In practice, the players who win read tempo — they know when to push and when to bank resources.
Early game is usually about economy. Spending everything on defence in the first waves leaves you starved later, when the real threats show up. I try to end each early wave with a small surplus, ready to react.
The mid game is where matches are decided. That's when you commit to a strategy and stop hedging. If you spread yourself thin trying to cover every option, you cover none of them well.
Watch how a game paces its difficulty spikes. Most telegraph them clearly if you're paying attention, and matching your spending to those spikes is what separates a smooth run from a panic.
